Better than your typical bar food, by land and by sea. Easy to drive to, and plenty of boat parking if you're on the water. Excellent shrimp and fish tacos. Very good assortment of different burgers, including the "Frenchie" with brie and apples. They had the most interesting potato salad I've ever had - diced oven roasted potatoes in a mayonnaise dill sauce, served slightly warm. So strange, so fantastic. One other place during our vacation had this, maybe its an Ozark thing. Quick friendly service. Nice deck outside which is dog friendly. Loved it so much we ate here twice on our short vacation.

Slow to greet us at the door, unprofessional staff overall, dirty floor- chunks of food everywhere I ordered the BLTA and had poor quality lettuce and tomato-no excuse for that in Missouri in August Someone else in my group had the quesadilla- extremely bland and the salsa was just chopped up tomatoes. All of us had cold fries, I selected the sweet potato fries which were $1 and received half the amount of people who ordered regular fries. Atmosphere kind of weird.. Seemed like they had some incomplete ideas for an atmosphere but didn't really follow through Would not go back.

Low bar wasn't open when we first arrived and the waitress couldn't take our drink orders there. We had to go to the other bar to order our drinks. Once the bar opened, things were great. While we waited for the bar to open, the waitress took our large food order for the group. I had the stuffed mushrooms which were on point. Had a rum runner and thought it was pretty good as well. Live band that took breaks while they played nice 80's music. Our group sang to the bangles and Debbie Gibson. Giving a 3 because of the bar not opened issue. Good place for the lake.

This very well may have been the only time I eat there. The inside dining area was filthy. The floor was littered with chunks of food. There was even a large portion of fish under the table right at my feet. I observed a worker wrapping silverware in a napkin. As he did so, he stopped, blew his nose and then wiped his runny nose with his hands. He did not wash his hands, but instead went back to wrapping silverware. On the bright side, the waitress was attentive. She checked at appropriate times and kept our drinks fresh.

Probably my favorite spot on the Lake. The outdoor area is very fun and provides great views of the lake and boat docks while providing drinks at fair prices. The crowd is a mix of both young and old and tends to mix very well which is unlike other bars on the lake which tend to cater to one age group more than the other (for example Shady Gator's to young and Backwater Jack's to older). To me, Dog Day's is the spot on the lake to have a few drinks and enjoy the view and some music. Just be careful after having a few cocktails when you're walking back up the steep slope to your car because you might just take a drunk stumble and bust your ass.

Good didn't have flavor....service was fine... French fries were cold. To many places to go in the lake to come here. Disappointed

Went there on a Saturday to have a few drinks. The whiskey sour was terrible! You seat yourself. The bathrooms are really clean and simple. We didn't try the food. Our waitress was nice since we finally found a table. The parking is difficult. We found one really close but since it was angled we had to turn around down by the restaurant/boat front. They have wobbly boots famous wings but the kitchen closes at ten. Fair warning. Once the waitresses start cleaning up the center pieces of ketchup and sugar then you know.

Dog Days has a big dog day, apparently, with dog jumping, retrieving, not sure what else. We just came for lunch. There was a huge crowd for this event, but they were prepared, with extra parking and lots of servers. As far as I could tell they didn't miss a beat. So our server was fine, but in a way she was just a little creepy. Her smile was too big and obviously phony. No way was she that happy to see me. She was working hard, said all the right things and did her job well, so I couldn't really complain, but it just made me uneasy. We had planned on coming for lunch because my daughter wanted a T Shirt (dog lover). She didn't like any of the choices. The food was overpriced and just okay for us. I had a blackened chicken sandwich. The chicken was way smaller than the bun and overcooked. This was the first time I can ever remember putting ketchup on a grilled chicken sandwich. My wife had a turkey burger, which I tasted. It was just okay. We might give them one more try for a meal, and it's a fun atmosphere for having a few beers - lots of TV's and a big outdoors bar.

Even though there must be 50 or more places to eat on the Lake of the Ozarks none that I have tried (and that is quite a few) were were really great but I have found Dog Days to be one of the better ones. I have always had good friendly service there and decent food at average lake prices.

We stopped in for a quick lunch last week -- looked like a prime location on the lake and likely a popular spot to kick back and watch the boats pull in. Well it was just that. And I stress the "just that" part. Definitely popular and a great place to watch to boats pull in.. but this place is also a restaurant / bar. I ordered the Prime Rib Burger, purportedly the "best burger on the lake." Now if this is the best burger on the lake then I refuse to eat another burger... on the lake. Entirely overcooked and the fries were cold and soggy. I considered sending it back but it took way too long to get in the first place, so I cut my losses and stuck to the view. Which again, was nice. I award you 2 stars.

I had a great time here! To say they have ample seating outside would be an understatement, and it's all got a great view of the lake. They had a live band which I love but we were there for dinner so the ample seating was great, we got to sit far enough away that we could still have conversations but had some nice background music. The food came out quickly and was very good. Our server was the BEST - I wish I could remember her name and am kicking myself for forgetting. They also have a great drink list with all sorts of the summer cocktails you crave on a summer day at the lake. Another fun feature is that you can get some fish food and feed the fish off the dock!

Went here for a quick drink while we were out on the water. It was a Thurs afternoon the end of March, but due to weather, the season had not really picked up yet. The inside is spacious and the liquor/beer selection is good. We ordered an app (crab rangoons) and they were typical frozen product. I could see this place hopping during the season.

My family (2 pre-teens and hubs) visited this place after shopping at the outlets. It was HOT out and the place was pretty busy. The band was setting up for evening (I guess) entertainment and so the "mic-checks" and constant blowing into the speakers was SUPER irritating and WAY too loud. The food took a while to get to us and it wasn't bad. I wouldn't visit again, just because it took too long and it wasn't all that great to be in. If I was drunk on a boat, maybe.

Went to have dinner here and had an appetizer and a couple of beers then left. Pricey dinner entrees and just nothing too special about it. Like Shorty pants it has a great view and ambience when outside. I just couldn't pony up the bucks to eat dinner. App was pretty good but we ordered crab cakes and they were out so it was not what we ordered.

After two back to back real estate meetings, I stopped by Dog Days and had the seafood nachos that were excellent and a very perky well mannered waitress. will definitely be back.

The food is fair. A little pricey for what you're getting; however, you are going to pay for the view. There is no such think as a bad lake view. Went there for lunch and had a chicken wrap with waffle fries. Although it was not of the B&G's doing the Army National Guard flies their A-10s over the lake. Truly something to see! The service was great! Sam, keep up the great work!

We will never go to this Bar on the water ever again! The service was horrible, the food was overpriced and frankly just not good! The drinks were the worst! They were watered down, no flavor and the most expensive on the lake! This place and his other bars " Shorty Pants ", "Wobbly Boots" are just not worth your hard earned money! We will never spend our money there again! If I could give zero stars I would!

Dog Days is one of the most popular lakefront restaurants at Lake of the Ozarks, enjoyed by locals and tourists both. The outdoor decks provide great waterfront views, and the food is always good. Live entertainment too!

We showed up after spending the day on the lake, and since we were not completely out of our minds drunk, this place was terrible! The one man band, Dale, was absolutely horrible. Instead of singing, he would make inappropriate comments to the women around the bar and to those who walked by the stage. When he would actually start singing a song, he would stop in the middle and start yelling at more women or his friends at a table. He obviously had wayyyy to much to drink, but this was no excuse. The people at the bar were also acting very inappropriately so after 30 minutes of attempting to enjoy ourselves we had enough and left. We told the bouncer on our way out how unsatisfied we were with our experience and he shrugged his shoulders and said "I know what you mean, that guys is terrible!" My question is, well why in the world do you let him be the entertainment here every other weekend as it states on the events schedule? They sure lost a lot of business as our group of 20 people were planning on staying here for the night. On another note, the waitress who served us took over 15 minutes to come get our drink orders, and scolded those who went up to the bar instead of letting her serve them. Obviously if you take an unacceptable amount of time to acknowledge our presence we will go elsewhere to get a drink! Well I think I have done enough complaining, but I must say the location was great and had a great view of the lake. It had a ton of outdoor seating and an outdoor bar. I just wish I had a better experience!

Solid food for a bar, great location and a pretty awesome place for some serious day-drinking. The crowd gets loose a little quick, so if you're easily offended or have kids, beware! Even the band gets a little crazy and starts throwing lewd comments all over the place. Definitely not for everyone, but I love it!

We probably stop here every time we make a trip down to the lake. I love their huge patio area and that they're right on the lake - so you can sit on the deck and watch people stumble on/off their boats, see if there's any high rollers stopping by, and scope out boats you wish you could just drive off in. They have pretty good food, and some of the best frozen drinks - just be careful of those 151 floaters - they will kick you on your ass!

This place is right on the lake. They even have a dock for your boats. There is live entertainment on the weekends and it is always a good time. The food is good, standard bar & grill food. It is mostly outdoor seating so it's relaxing at the end of the day to come and drink some beers.
